It's been an exciting Q1 for Offstream and for the entire biomass carbon removal space.
Between the strong buyer turnout at Carbon Unbound and the progress we’re seeing with our customers, we're energized by the momentum building.
Today, we wanted to share takeaways from our recent travels and make sure you know where you can find us next.
This spring, we’re heading to a few industry events:
Our CEO Varsha is speaking at two sessions:
Will we see you at either of these conferences? We’ll be co-hosting events in both Nashville and San Francisco, and we’ll share more info on our LinkedIn accounts as we get closer to the date. Reach out to us on LinkedIn if you’ll be attending. We’d love to connect!
The buyers came out in full force at Carbon Unbound Vancouver.
Offstream met with 10 buyers, and many more were in attendance, signaling momentum and interest in high-quality carbon removal procurement.
Varsha was also a panelist in a session on biomass carbon removal and its benefits, along with Grant Canary from Mast Reforestation, Harris Cohn from Charm Industrial, and panel chair Charlotte Levy.
The entire session was based on audience input and questions, and the top upvoted question was biomass feedstock sustainability.
Varsha shared her perspective that the industry needs jurisdiction-level sustainability standards that reflect local context - not one-size-fits-all international frameworks.
All in all, it was fantastic to see the turnout at Carbon Unbound and the rich discussions. It’s a great sign for the New York edition in May and the industry as a whole.

Lastly, a huge thank you to Equilibrium and Ground Up for hosting us in India!
These all-star biochar carbon removal teams are preparing for upcoming carbon credit audits. While we've seen many VVB audits, nothing replaces seeing operations in person.
With both teams, we walked through their full day-to-day workflows and took detailed notes, focusing on:
Aside from helping our customers prepare for audits, these site visits allow our team to see how plant managers use our certification and dMRV tools in real-world conditions, so we can make them even more intuitive.
This close collaboration also allows us to go beyond mere carbon credit certification and dMRV support and truly "co-pilot" projects as they build and scale.
Stay tuned for new milestones from these two amazing teams. No doubt there will be more soon!

Our latest travels and projects have been a powerful reminder:
When projects have the right support systems, they can focus on scaling impact rather than getting stuck in endless complexity.
Curious what that level of carbon credit and dMRV support could do for your project?
